Couldn't rescue myself out of a hot wig and a constant wedgie!
This is the first time I wore a wig to a race, and even though the event was at night, the Orlandoan heat and humidity proved to be pretty unbearable when you're wearing a head full of plastic and running a 10K. I think for now on I'll do the wig thing for 5K's.
The jumpsuit was probably the most challenging item to get my hands on. I was searching on eBay and Etsy constantly looking for the perfect romper/jumpsuit that had the cargo pocket feel (versus the glam 70's/80's look) and be the right shade of purple. The playsuit I found looked on point. As for the sizing.... well, the crotch was super high and felt dangerously close to my fallopian tubes. I am no seamstress so I have no idea how to tailor things outside of a basic hem job, so I kinda just winged it....? I ripped the seams and added extra fabric. (Mind you, this was all done on the day of the race.) Meh, it was bearable after the fix.
